Filmmaker Ani Simon-Kennedy is going on the road and bringing Sabrina Carpenter along for the ride.

Bicephaly Pictures, in association with Lunacy Productions and Relic Pictures, has announced the start of production on The Short History of the Long Road, the sophomore feature from Simon-Kennedy (Days of Gray). Ogg is repped by Paradigm and MGMT; Siff by Paradigm, Suskin Management and attorney Adam Kaller at Hanson Jacobson; Trejo by Amsel Eisenstadt Fraser & Hinojosa Inc.; Schwimmer by Stewart Talent and Meghan Schumacher Management; and Dean by Paradigm.

Former Girl Meets World star Sabrina Carpenter has landed a series regular role in NBC comedy pilot So Close from Greg Malins, Hazy Mills and Universal TV.

Written by Friends and Will & Grace alum Malins, So Close centers on hopeless romantics Riley & Kyle. At crossroads in their separate lives, they are close to settling for the wrong partner, unaware that they live only blocks apart and may be each other’s soul mates. Malins, Hazy Mills’ Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner executive produce.

Carpenter will play Jessica. She’s sweet and adorable and loves her roommates Kyle and Sebastian and is always shocking people with the crazy/confusing things that come out of her mouth.

Carpenter starred as Maya Hart on Disney Channel’s hit series Girl Meets World. She recently wrapped The Hate U Give for Fox and last summer completed her sold out De-Tour. Carpenter is repped by Paradigm and Foundation Media Partners.

April Fools’ Days may have come and gone, but Sabrina Carpenter and Sofia Carson‘s pranking days are still ahead!

The Disney Channel actresses are set to guest star in an upcoming episode of Disney XD’s innovative new series, Walk the Prank, which blends scripted comedy with real hidden-camera pranks.

Sabrina and Sofia, who are also starring together this summer in the Disney Channel movie, Adventures in Babysitting (based on the 1987 film of the same name), will each be featured in their own babysitting-themed pranks.

“I am so excited to finally be able to pull off an epic prank!” Sofia spilled to ET ahead of her appearance. “The most special part will definitely be the big reveal. It’ll be amazing to see the babysitter’s reaction at the end of the episode!”

As for Sabrina, the Girl Meets World star is most excited about completely “transforming” herself for the prank. “Getting to go totally undercover and, of course, just seeing the looks on people’s faces when they get pranked is the reason prank shows were created. It’s priceless” she shared.

Walk the Prank features scripted storylines centering on four kids’ antics in school and at home, which provide a source of inspiration for their pranks. The real and outlandish hidden-camera pranks, seen throughout each episode, capture genuine reactions from unsuspecting strangers.

But before the Disney Channel starlets film their laugh-tastic episodes later this month, we asked them to spill the details on the best prank they’ve ever pulled off!

“I pranked a phone call to my boss saying it was from the president of our company,” Sabrina dished. “He bought it for two seconds, but that’s all I needed.”

Sabrina may already be a pranking pro, but Sofia admits she’s definitely in need of a good coach. “I am usually the one being pranked!” the Descendants star confessed. “I have never pulled off a prank in my life, so you can imagine how unbelievably excited I am to be a part of such an epic prank in Walk the Prank!”

Check out the series premiere of Walk the Prank on Wednesday, April 6 at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on Disney XD.
